Tonight, BBYO hosted a very special event. After a year-long effort of promoting The EARLY Act, legislation promoting breast cancer awareness
and legislation, BBYO celebrated its passing in Congress with the Think Pink Dinner and Gala. The night, which featured a video address from the sponsoring representative, Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz (whose husband is a proud AZA alum) and speeches from several breast cancer survivors, encouraged BBYO teens to learn more about breast cancer while also learning to take a stand on an issue they care about. One speech was particularly poignant, as it came from a male breast cancer survivor — making the young men in the room even more aware of just how breast cancer can affect every human being.
